Strong quotes cases in which Phoebe Payne's psychic diagnostic powers were exhibited. Mr. Strong ends by saying that the book's subject matter is not yet susceptible of the kind of proof that would be demanded in a laboratory. Extra-sensory perception is active in some people and, according to the authors, can be trained. The learning to use psychic powers, they say, is justified for mankind is looking for a vision of spiritual and eternal values, things Which endure and are stable no matter how much the material world may shift and change or collapse about their ears. Students of the poetry of William Blake, who is quoted, could usefully take this book as a guide.
